The only problem is that the money saved is coming out of your customer’s pocket. Unless the Chinese start paying $200 for Air Jordans, you are screwed. Unless Indians are calling Dell for assistance… once again you are screwed. In the end the U.S. will suffer a great fall from its’ mountain top. And hopefully wake up and remind the world why we are so great during our comeback.

      8. Ed Donahoo February 4, 2013 at 12:42 pm #

For those of you who are soooo against outsourcing… why don’t you spend a week using nothing from China. Then why don’t you only buy American. That’s right, if you care so much about it then put your own money where your mouth is instead of bashing business of which you are ignorant. So I expect you to start spending $5 per toilet paper roll and $1000.00 per piece of furniture. The ironic thing is that world trade is bringing us together closer and more peaceful than we have ever been.

Yes – balance between skills and costs - outsourcing will continue, within nations as well as between them. The issue is how patterns of outsourcing will change.

      14. arulisms February 4, 2013 at 4:39 pm #

Outsourcing will not be cost driven it will be driven by skill. China and India will be more skilled in the coming years and sure the big corporations will stick to India and china and happy to pay the price for skillsets

      17. Dimitri0809 February 4, 2013 at 6:19 pm #

Yeah, outsourcing has resorted to job losses.

      18. Trollingwithmyhomies February 4, 2013 at 6:34 pm #

If I could find products made in the USA I would buy them =/ unfortunately as a consumer that only has about 800 disposable income a month someone already made a choice FOR ME by having my local retailers only carry stuff made overseas.

Outsourcing is very controversial and affects every part of business from manufacturing through to design, software development, financial control, logistics management, customer support and sales. Thanks for the information.

Thank you for sharing! Let me also add that proper and legal Network Marketing business will thrive in China too. Not only has the Chinese Gov’t has to respond to WTO requirements, also it will use Network Marketers/distributors to fit in the social gap – balancing the poor and the rich.

Montana programmers would get Indian-written pieces of POINTS. If they found a problem, which is common in complex computer systems, getting it fixed — or simply communicating the problem to the person who actually wrote the code — took several cumbersome steps and usually several days.

Maybe you should worry about whether or not YOU are smart enough; for example, smart enough to speak grammatically.

The true goal of globalization is to end poverty and raise the standard of living around the world. So that none shall see the horrors that came from WW2. I’ve hated globalization at times like a little kid that doesn’t want to share with their brother or sister.

Credit distorts the true values and the bottoms aren’t transparent. The price of big dollar items have went far beyond rate of inflation since the 1950s and upward.

        Globalization is sharing
        Credit is blackmailing
